Biography

He is also an Associate Professor (on study leave) at Patuakhali Science and Technology University (PSTU), Bangladesh, where he has taught and conducted research in the areas of transportation engineering, disaster resilience, and sustainable infrastructure. Md. Shahin is conducting Doctoral research in Civil Engineering at the University of New South Wales (UNSW), Australia. 

Shahin holds an MEng in Civil Engineering from the University of Tokyo, Japan, specializing in transportation and traffic engineering, and a BSc in Civil Engineering from Rajshahi University of Engineering & Technology, Bangladesh. His research interests span transportation policy, climate risk in transport, and traffic demand modeling.

Shahin had been involved in several international research projects, including those funded by Erasmus+ and the European Union.
