Biography

I am working as an Assistant Professor at Patuakhali Science and Technology University, Bangladesh in the Department of Disaster Risk Management under the faculty of Environmental Science and Disaster Management. 

I had been working as a Post-doctoral Research Associate at the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Design, North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University (NC A&T), Greensboro, USA. I obtained my Ph.D. from University of Copenhagen, Denmark. I have finished my M.Sc. in Agro-Environmental Management (Major: Environmental Analytical Chemistry) from Aarhus University, Denmark. Since then, I have been heavily involved in scientific research within the area of Agriculture and Environmental Analytical Chemistry. I am highly experienced in representative sampling (soil, urban runoff, deep water sampling as well as foods). I was the primary user of Auto Trace 280 for Solid Phase extraction and Orbitrap 120 for PFAS analysis.  I have also experienced working in instrumentation like ICP-OES, ICP-MS, LCMS-MS (Agilent 1200 Series HPLC using AB Sciex 3200 Q-Trap system for mass spectrometric detection), IC, TOC-Analyzer, GC-MS (partially) and instrument control software.

 I am also an expert on environmental risk assessment. My research interest includes: Removal of Pollutants from Agricultural Runoff using Ecological Techniques -Fate and removal of PFAS and Antibiotics in Agriculture -Microplastics in the Agricultural Environment -Source identification of pollutants in Agricultural Runoff I am passionate to Research, but I also enjoy the teaching and presenting my research work within the scientific community in different international conferences. My research work has been published in highly reputed peer reviewed scientific publications and have contributed to many conferences as proceedings. 

As a person, I am hard working, goal-oriented, always ready to adapt in multicultural Environment and to discover new strategies. My scientific skills combined with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills make me to formulate research projects in any organizations including academic and industrial research.
