Biography
Dr. Milton Talukder is a full Professor of Pharmacology at the Department of Physiology and Pharmacology, Faculty of Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine, Patuakhali Science and Technology University, Bangladesh. He received a DVM degree from the Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh, Bangladesh, and a PhD in Clinical Veterinary Medicine from the Northeast Agricultural University, Harbin, China. Dr. Talukder’s research is mainly focused on the toxicology of environmental pollutants, including heavy metals (cadmium), DEHP, Atrazine, and Mechanism of protective role of Nutraceuticals, especially nano-selenium, lycopene, resveratrol, and sulforaphane against cadmium-induced neurotoxicity in animal model. He is a author and/or a cu-author of more than 62 papers (Scopus) published in the international peer-reviewed journals with a current h-index of 31 according to the Google Scholar. According to the Google Scholar, these papers have been cited more than 2237 times with a current h-index of 31 and i10-index 42.
Research Interest
Toxicological mechanisms of multi-organ toxicity induced by environmental pollutants, including heavy metals (cadmium) and DEHP. Chemo-preventive roles of nano-selenium, lycopene, resveratrol, and sulforaphane against environmental pollutant-induced toxicity, especially cadmium neurotoxicity.
