Everyone is concerned about health. Consuming ripened fruits is a necessity for maintaining good health. Fruits attain their pleasing taste and attractive color by the process of ripening. Nowadays, a considerable amount of fruits found in the market are ripened by artificial methods. Dangerous chemicals used in this artificial ripening process which are detrimental to health. This work aims to develop an automated structure, which is capable of distinguishing artificially ripened mangoes based on the image of itself by digital image analysis. The proposed framework can be implemented for consumers and traders in the form of mobile applications. Python OpenCV is employed as a programming tool to extract the features of image. The introduced method can be utilized for grading the mangoes with excellent accuracy and high speed.
